Dr. Mili Bass
When she built Dream Katcher Lodge in 2004, Mili’s vision was to establish a premier boarding facility designed in such a manner that she could leave her own “kids” with complete confidence in their comfort, care, and safety. Thanks to a beautiful facility and especially to a truly INCREDIBLE staff-family, that vision continues to be realized daily.
Cori worked in the beauty industry for over 10 years before coming to Dream Katcher Lodge in 2014. Having always been a huge animal lover, she was ready to get back to doing something she truly enjoys. Cori lives in Maynardville with her husband, two beautiful sons, and three fur babies.
Nancy is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is an avid LSU fan. After spending many years working as a surgical technician in cardiac surgery, she decided to pursue a career with her first love…animals. Since moving to Knoxville she has become a volunteer at Horse Haven of TN. She is married and has a dog of her own who she considers her child.
Although she’s a native of New York, Debbie has lived in East Tennessee for 25 years. This widely-traveled former Medical Assistant has also lived in Texas, Hawaii, and Florida. Debbie has two grown children, one grandchild, and two dogs, a cat, and a Cockatiel (all of the latter are rescues).
Cyndi is originally from Rockville, MD. After college, she spent 15 years teaching college level biology courses in Washington State before returning to the east coast to be closer to family. She recently relocated to Knoxville and changed career paths to fulfill her desire to work with animals. She has one pup, Georgie, at home, and two special rescue dog babies, Rex and Keta, that have passed on, but remain in her heart. In her free time she enjoys reading, music, movies, hiking, camping, and traveling.
Fran and her husband have three grown children, four grandchildren, and one fur baby. She is full of common sense and a sense of humor and loves animals and people. They have had many dogs and cats during their lives and are animal lovers. Their current baby is a small black lab mix from the Blount County animal shelter. Fran has been on staff at Dream Katcher Lodge since its opening in 2004. She had never worked with animals before but Dream Katcher has been her dream job. She really enjoys the hands-on with all the guests. Taking care of our guests and getting to know them is such a joy for her.
Sam has been a member of the Dream Katcher Lodge family since 2013. She was born in Switzerland and has lived in the States for many years. She has had many different jobs all over the world, but has always dreamed of finding a job working with animals. In 2014, a feral kitty adopted Sam as her mom, and a year later her family expanded when she married a local guy.
David is an Army Veteran, and is currently studying accounting as a full-time college student. David has one dog, Jojo, who is a lab mix. On his days off you will usually find him with Jojo kayaking, hiking, or at the dog park.
Although born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Randie now lives near her mother’s home town of Mascot, TN. She’s the owner/caretaker of 7 dogs and 3 horses, and looks forward to possibly starting a senior dog sanctuary. Her spare time is spent riding horses, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.
Born and raised in the Nashville area, Haylie moved to Knoxville and got married in 2013. After working for Starbucks for nearly 4 years, she decided to redirect her career path into her lifelong dream of working with animals. She is mom to two rescue furbabies, Simba and Toki, and is anticipating another rescue joining her family. When Haylie isn’t working, she enjoys reading, DDP yoga, and creating art.
Currently a student at Pellissippi State Community College, Shea’s love of caring for animals is taking her on the path of eventually pursuing a career in veterinary social work. Shea has two cats, two dogs, and a pet pot-bellied pig. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, listening to music, spending time with her family, and taking naps with her four-legged friends.
Originally from the mountains of Scranton, PA, Nicole came to Knoxville after a short stay in North Carolina. At home, she currently “wrangles” an all-white Pit Bull, a small terrier, and two guinea pigs. When she’s not working or “wrangling” her crew, she’s reading a good book or catching up on the latest on Netflix.
