Our Kuddlers

Dr. Mili Bass

When she built Dream Katcher Lodge in 2004, Mili’s vision was to establish a premier boarding facility designed in such a manner that she could leave her own “kids” with complete confidence in their comfort, care, and safety.  Thanks to a beautiful facility and especially to a truly INCREDIBLE staff-family, that vision continues to be realized daily.

Cori worked in the beauty industry for over 10 years before coming to Dream Katcher Lodge in 2014. Having always been a huge animal lover, she was ready to get back to doing something she truly enjoys. Cori lives in Maynardville with her husband, two beautiful sons, and three fur babies.

Nancy is originally from Baton Rouge, Louisiana and is an avid LSU fan. After spending many years working as a surgical technician in cardiac surgery, she decided to pursue a career with her first love…animals. Since moving to Knoxville she has become a volunteer at Horse Haven of TN. She is married and has a dog of her own who she considers her child.

Although she’s a native of New York, Debbie has lived in East Tennessee for 25 years. This widely-traveled former Medical Assistant has also lived in Texas, Hawaii, and Florida. Debbie has two grown children, one grandchild, and two dogs, a cat, and a Cockatiel (all of the latter are rescues).

A Chicago native, Mary-Lynne retired from Illinois county government and, with her husband and two rescue dogs, moved to the sunny South.  She enjoys reading James Patterson novels and exploring the East Tennessee countryside.

Fran and her husband have three grown children, four grandchildren, and one fur baby. She is full of common sense and a sense of humor and loves animals and people. They have had many dogs and cats during their lives and are animal lovers. Their current baby is a small black lab mix from the Blount County animal shelter. Fran has been on staff at Dream Katcher Lodge since its opening in 2004.

Sam has been a member of the Dream Katcher Lodge family since 2013. She was born in Switzerland and has lived in the States for many years. She has had many different jobs all over the world, but has always dreamed of finding a job working with animals. In 2014, a feral kitty adopted Sam as her mom, and a year later her family expanded when she married a local guy.

David is an Army Veteran who became a member of the DKL family in 2015.  He’s currently studying to become a radiology technician.  David has one dog, Jojo, who is a lab mix. On his days off you will usually find him kayaking, hiking, or at the dog park.

Although born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Randie now lives near her mother’s home town of Mascot, TN.  She became a Kuddler at DKL in 2016. Randie is the owner/caretaker of 7 dogs and 3 horses, and looks forward to possibly starting a senior dog sanctuary.  Her spare time is spent riding horses, and traveling whenever she gets the chance.

Born and raised in the Nashville area, Haylie moved to Knoxville in 2013. After working for Starbucks for nearly 4 years, she decided to redirect her career path into her lifelong dream of working with animals.  She joined the DKL family in 2016, and as a benefit of her work at the Lodge, she is studying to become a Veterinary Technician.

Shea’s love of caring for animals brought her to working at the Lodge,…she has two cats, two dogs, and a pet pot-bellied pig.  She has completed her studies and is currently employed full-time as a phlebotomist.  Shae remains a part-time Kuddler when her schedule allows overlapping with DKL’s busiest times.

Originally from the mountains of Scranton, PA, Nicole came to Knoxville after a short stay in North Carolina.  At home, she currently “wrangles” an all-white Pit Bull, a small terrier, and two guinea pigs.  When she’s not working or “wrangling” her crew, she’s reading a good book or catching up on the latest on Netflix.
